First Home Owners Grant
If you are a first home buyer, you may be eligible (terms and conditions apply) for a $10,000 government grant to help you buy or build your new home.
The Territory Government has introduced a First Home Owners Grant scheme to assist first home buyers in the Northern Territory. From 7 May 2019, if you are buying or building a new home, you can apply for a First Home Owner Grant (FHOG) of $10,000.

HomeBuild Access
The aim of HomeBuild Access is to help increase the supply of new and affordable homes in the Northern Territory (NT).
HomeBuild Access gives you an opportunity to access low deposit home loan options for:
- New-built homes if construction started after 1 January 2013
- Or for you to buy vacant land and build your own home.
There are limits to the purchase price for properties you can purchase using HomeBuild Access.
- For properties with up to two bedrooms the maximum purchase price is $475,000
- For properties with three or more bedrooms the maximum purchase price is $550,000.
